Background

The main business scope of our client based in Shandong is the manufacture and sales of daily glass products. Their primary focus is on the green mixed glass and white bottle glass cullet. As a significant player in the cullet production industry of northern China, they produce approximately 360~1080 tons of cullet per day.

Currently, the customers factory still relies on traditional sorting methods to sort cullet. However, with rising market demand and output, the workforce dedicated to sorting has increased accordingly. Despite the above problem, the rapid flow rate of cullet on the production line poses challenges. Small particles and impurities often evade manual sorting, leading to unstable output and quality. These issues escalate costs and expose personnel sorting risks. To address these challenges and ensure sustained sales, our client has decided to optimize the production line. The goal is to enhance production capacity, mitigate personnel risks, minimize losses, and improve the overall quality of finished products.

According to the customer's on-site conditions and needs, considering factors such as the overall line cost and construction time, our clients opted for the Production line optimization solution, conducting rectification based on the original production line.

SUIBO improved the operation procedures of the production line before for our clients and provided a new plan for them. Based on customers requirement on proposed CSP and various impurities, we provided a list of supporting equipment. The 3+1” method was adopted: 3 front-end pieces of equipment ensure that production capacity reaches 45t/h, while 1 back-end piece of equipment handles the materials brought out from the front end, facilitating sorting and recycling, and reducing glass loss.

Implementation

SUIBO completed the rectification of production line in approximately 50 days, encompassing equipment debugging and trial production. During this process, the equipment efficiency exceeded 90%, and the production line maintained a stable capacity of 45t/h. Both productivity and quality met the expected standards. After handing over the production line to our client, we provided comprehensive training and guidance on the use, operation, and maintenance of the equipment, and finally lead to the successful acceptance of the production line.

This rectification significantly reduced our clients employment costs and personnel risks, achieving automated production while maintaining stable capacity. The quality of the finished product improved, and material utilization rates increased, effectively reducing cullet losses and overall costs, thereby enhancing our clients economic benefits.
